Pastelmat is een modern pastelpapier met een korrelige structuur op een kartonnen onderlaag. 

Dankzij het fixerend vermogen kan pastellaag na pastellaag worden aangebracht zonder verzadiging en het heeft een uitstekende hechting.

Je hoeft vrijwel geen fixeermiddel meer te gebruiken. Het oppervlak van pastelmat bestaat uit hele fijne puimsteenkorreltjes, waardoor je al kunt voelen dat het pastelkrijt er goed aan hecht. Pastelmat is zuurvrij, lichtbestendig en buitengewoon duurzaam.

Behalve voor pastelkrijt wordt pastelmat ook voor kleurpotlood en pastelpotlood gebruikt.

Pastelmat is a modern pastel paper with a grainy texture on a cardboard backing. 

Thanks to its fixing power, pastel layer after pastel layer can be applied without saturation and it has excellent adhesion.

You hardly need to use any fixative. The surface of pastel mat consists of very fine pumice grains, so you can already feel that the pastel crayon adheres well to it. Pastel mat is acid-free, lightfast and extremely durable.

Apart from pastel crayons, pastel mat is also used for coloured pencil and pastel pencil.
